Welcome! 

I began teaching meditation classes here, at Sachi Wellness Center, in January of 2009. What started as an Intro to Meditation Series I was teaching to fulfill the graduation requirement for a Meditation Teacher Training Program, grew to seven—or more—wonderful classes a week.

 

In 2010, my students came up with the name Meditation Momma, and inspired me to take my teaching to the next level. Meditation Momma  is the vehicle through which I continue to gratefully and joyfully share what I've learned by: 

Teaching meditation.
Raising happiness
.


In 2013 my husband was offered a “temporary” position for a great job in Houston, so I created an Online Meditation Program to make it easy for my students and I to stay in touch. Thinking the situation was temporary, I was coming back regularly to teach classes, retreats, and workshops. In reality, I was in Oregon more than I was in Houston.

Fast forward to today and the “temporary” position in Houston has become permanent. I now teach in Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and return to Oregon (where we still have our home) every three months to teach at Sachi and meet with students, lead group meditations, teach classes, workshops, and, every so often, lead a retreat.

I am often asked, “What kind of meditation do you teach?”

I began meditating in the 70’s, and during the 80’s began studying Kriya Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Mindfulness, Tibetan Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, New Thought Christianity, Native American Practices and much more. Today I gratefully share what my teachers have so generously and patiently taught me. 

All of the studying I’ve done, and continue to do, deepens my understanding of “Meditation” and that’s what I teach: Meditation. Yes, you will get exposed to many different techniques, ideas and teachings from all the traditions I've mentioned above, and along the way you will get to “take what you like and leave the rest.” But in the end, you will know how to meditate. And this knowing will help you deepen your own connection with your personal beliefs, find you own inner wisdom, and improve your life.
