She has enjoyed teaching Yoga Calm® to children in various school, clinical and wellness settings. Every day, Laura witnesses the importance of teaching children to make healthy choices for a life of wellness. Wellness means finding and sustaining balance in life. We know when life is out of balance, there is stress and subsequently stress creates disease. So if children can learn strategies for managing stress and maintaining balance in their lives, opportunities for future mental and physical disease may be eliminated. And as children mature and develop an acute awareness of their mind, their body and their emotions, they will naturally make wise choices to improve their quality of life both now and into the future. |
